After you set up your accounts, you need to manage them so you can start experiencing the social media effect and your content is spread far and wide across the Internet. Social media management is working the respective social media channels. It means distributing content in each of those channels and doing your best to cross reference the channels as well. For example if you put up a new video on YouTube, you should put that video on your blog, Facebook page, Tweet it and announce it on LinkedIn. This provides 4 separate channels for your video to become seen across the Internet.
The objective at this stage is to start to engage leads, prospects and existing customers and get them to connect with your brand. Obviously the best way for them to connect with you is to buy something from you, but it may also mean "liking" you on Facebook, following you on Twitter or supplying you with an email address for your monthly newsletter.
