Five Tips to Better LinkedIn Usage
There are a number of social media networks we work on to help our clients get found on the Internet. While, we always set up and update all networks, we have found that most businesses selling to consumers (B2C) have pretty good success with Facebook and those businesses selling to other businesses (B2B) have better success on LinkedIn. Over the last couple of years we have found five tips that help us and our clients use LinkedIn effectively.
Follow these five LinkedIn tips to better your usage.
- Make sure you have a picture of your employees and your logo. This helps put a face to the name of both your business and your staff. Secondly, make sure its a picture of you looking professional. Unlike Facebook, this is where you put your professional foot forward.
- Completely set up your company profile. Make sure you add in all of your products and services as well as pictures and videos on each so people can see what you do.
- Use LinkedIn Answers. This is a great way to show people that you know what you are talking about in your area. Think of it as Quora for business folks.
- Consider LinkedIn Premium. This is a low cost way to get more data from potential leads as well as contacting them via email.
- Update your company page as often as Facebook and supply links. You should also consider having InShare buttons on your page and a LinkedIn follow button.
As you can see, like Facebook, Twitter, Google + and Pinterest, you have to make sure you maximize your opportunity and spend some bit of time on each network every day to get some results. It also doesn’t hurt to spend a bit of money to not only build your audience, but also contact people who may benefit from your services.
