Logo Trends: Flat Facets

flat facets

A Big trend that’s been circling around the web is Flat Facets. In fact, in an article I read by LogoLounge, they stated that Facets first came about with an attempt to create three-dimensional objects from a series of intersecting planes. Additionally, volume is defined for the viewer by shifting gradients or transparency. Other styles that are similar to Facets design are Quilts, which are geometric transparent facets, layered together like the panels of a quilt. I love this new trend for its complexity and simplicity. It’s incredible when you have the right colors and can pull off a 3d effect but it’s really dimensionally flat. Finally, below are a few examples of the new trend. Hope you enjoy!
