Promotional Designs for the 2014 FIFA World Cup
So as you know everyone is excited about the FIFA World Cup in Brazil this year. One thing I have noticed are the different posters, ads and animations adverting for the world cup. I love seeing different concepts from designers to companies who come up with these designs based around the same subject. Its inspiring and motivating to see all the amazing projects as the tournament progresses. I thought I would share some of the designs that caught my eye for this years world cup. Enjoy!
ESPN
Being one of the broadcasters streaming the event, they’ve released a series of team posters that feature each nation’s star player with their team nickname. Brazilian artist, Cristiano Siqueira, designed all posters Click Here to see all 32 posters.
McDonald’s
Designed French fry packaging for the first time it its history, in celebration of the FIFA World Cup.
Leo Natsume
Designer Leo Natsume drew all the illustrations of the major players for the new game Mano a Mano created for the Zero Hora newspaper in order to promote interactive and informative content about the players who will participate in the World Cup 2014. Nike
Released an animation called “The Last Game,” which is a five-minute animated starring some of the world’s greatest football players on a mission to save football from an evil Scientist and a team of clones. In an article by Dave from dailypicksandflicks.com he states it best, “It’s like the soccer version of ‘Space Jam‘.
