We’ve had a few people ask us about not having a search box in Facebook which makes it difficult to find pages to like on Facebook. We were able to find a work arounds for this problem.

The search bar doesn’t appear in on Facebook because a corporate account is being to administer the page rather than a personal account.

So you can do two things here:

• You can use your personal account to become a admin on the Facebook page and the search bar will appear. You can act as the page by going up to the top right hand corner and choose Use Facebook as “You Page name”
• Some people don’t like having their personal account anywhere near their corporate account. If you don’t want your personal account linked, then the best thing to do is Google the business name like this Facebook: business name. This way you will get the URL of the Facebook page you want to like.

If you do have a search box, then you can always like a business page by searching for it.
