Walking New York: The New York Time Magazine Cover by JR
The New York Time Magazine design and photography team collaborated with French street artist JR, who described himself as a “photograffeur.” Moreover, JR is known for his large black-and-white photographic images on massive canvases in public locations in a way that is similar to the appropriation of the built environment. In fact, NYT design and photography and JR created a 150 feet tall image of a 20-year-old man in a hoodie. Below is a link of the Timelapse video of a behind-the-scenes look. This large-scale art is in the pasting in the triangle; below the Flatiron Building for the cover of the magazine’s special issue “Walking New York.” Finally, hope you enjoy!
